Courses of the PhD Programme

                                 COURSES 2025/2026

The didactic programme consists in two courses that are compulsory for 1st and 2nd year PhD students. Taking a final test is necessary for the acquisition of the training credits (1 TC= 5 hours). 
All lessons of the courses will be held  in English and held in person.
Off-site students will be guaranteed the opportunity to attend online classes on the Microsofy Teams platform.

The final test is a multiple-choice quiz on the topics of all the lessons and is necessary for the acquisition of the TCs.

To take the final exam and obtain credits, 70% attendance is required.

05 March 2026 – Introduction to experimental design and notes on multiple linear regression (MLR)
12 March 2026 – Factorial Designs
19 March 2026 – Quadratic Designs and optimization
26 March/23 April 2026 – 14:30 Final test.

For the lessons, you need to download the CAT software from: http://gruppochemiometria.it/index.php/software and install it following exactly the instructions of the file “instructions.txt” or watching the tutorial video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVIUJAhMVR0a59m3BG_dR0A.

For Mac, a Windows emulator is required.
