Along with the mandatory courses offered by the PhD programme, other activities that contribute to the training of the doctoral students include:
Developed Research Activity (CFU: min. 60 - max. 160 in 3 years)
– Experimental research activities (50 CFU/year)
Didactic activities (CFU: min. 10 - max. 60 in 3 years)
– Mandatory PhD courses (I year 8 CFU; II year 5 CFU)
– Other PhD Courses (CFU as proposed by the course)
– PhD/Summer Schools (generally 5 CFU per School, to be evaluated by the Coordinator and the Tutor)
– Other training courses (1 CFU per 5 hours)
– Seminars (0.3 CFU/seminar)
Scientific activities (CFU: min. 0 - max. 30 in 3 years)
– Participation in scientific meetings, Workshop and Conferences (1 CFU for events of 1-2 days; 2 CFU for events > 2 days)
– Presentations at scientific meetings and conferences, seminars (3 CFU for poster presentation, 5 CFU for oral communication)
National and International mobility (CFU: min. 0 - max. 30 in 3 years)
– Mobility for research - periods in Italy (5 CFU/month)
– Mobility for research - periods abroad (10 CFU/month)
Publications and scientific awards (CFU: min. 0 - max. 60 in 3 years)
– Publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals (Co-author 3 CFU, first author 10 CFU per article. CFU are halved for reviews)
– Scientific awards (1 CFU per award; no travel grants)
PhD thesis and/or final exam (CFU: min. 0 - max. 40)
– PhD thesis organisation and writing, thesis defence (10 CFU)
Teaching activities and events organised by students (CFU: min. 0 - max. 30 in 3 years)
– Teaching activity (e.g., tutorship, teaching support activities, supplementary teaching activities, third mission activities. 3 CFU for activity)
– Events organised by the PhD students (1-5 CFU per event, to be evaluated by the the Coordinator and the Tutor)
Other activities (CFU: min. 0 - max. 30 in 3 years)
– Other activities not included in the previous items (in general 1 CFU per 5-hour activity, to be evaluated by the the Coordinator and the Tutor)
